Dress Me up in Hand-Me-Downs

Yeah, whatever. Make fun of me, question my musical taste, just…whatever. But “You Lost Me”, from Christina Aguilera’s new album, Bionic, has topped my shower song charts! I downloaded it today and listened to it until I knew every lyric, run and key change by heart. The beginning has a slight Sinead O’Conner flare and the dramatic melody is as mature and resonant as some of the lyrics: “I feel like our world’s been infected…You couldn’t keep your hands to yourself…We’re left as shells, we lost the fight.” Wow, could Christina Aguilera be using a shellfish metaphor to describe a break up? Hm, someone has been watching Animal Planet with her baby…

I was watching CBS morning shows the other day because I couldn’t fine the remote to change it ABC since I’m partial to Diane Sawyer and Sam Champion, the weather man.  But fortunately, I was enlightened with some great tidbits and links for financial planning resources online, like www.dinkeytown.net.  You can find mortgage, retirement, and savings calculators that can help you predict your financial future!

During one of my aimless meanders through Manhattan Mall, killing time before the next express train, I carefully and, hopefully inconspicuously, tip-toed into Charlotte Russe. I honestly haven’t stepped my designer shoes into a Charlotte Russe store since I was 13. But, in my defense, it was early in the morning, most stores were closed and the windows were dressed with adorable floral rompers! How could you go wrong?

Well it was the romper that brought me in, but it was the sandals that made me gush and blog! Thankfully gladiator and half-boot style flats are still in style and that Charlotte Russe has finally caught on. I could barely find one sandal that I wouldn’t wear this summer! Plus, they have a promotion going on now-buy one shoe, get another for $15. Most of their shoes are under $30, so for $45 you could walk away, (label on the bag facing inward), with two extremely hip and cute sandals for this season!

Obviously pockets are a huge hit this season. Charlotte Russe picked up on that too!  2 for $10 for most of their tanks and tops, I mean come on?!
